Pet health monitoring

Postby Canelin » Sat Feb 06, 2010 1:56 pm

Hi,

Love GamTextTriggers - it's awesome!

One feature I was thinking about the other day is parsing of my pet's health. I'd basically put the /pet report health command in my main nuke macro button so I occasionally get a status from my pet.

Here's sample output of the /pet report health command:

[Sat Feb 06 13:19:25 2010] I have 88 percent of my hit points left.
[Sat Feb 06 13:19:25 2010] Burnout VII Rk. II
[Sat Feb 06 13:19:25 2010] Iceflame Body Rk. II
[Sat Feb 06 13:19:25 2010] Velocity
[Sat Feb 06 13:19:25 2010] Hand of Gallantry Rk. III
[Sat Feb 06 13:19:25 2010] Transcendent Foresight Rk. III
[Sat Feb 06 13:19:25 2010] Darkpaw Focusing Rk. III
etc...

It's the first line that's of interest - "I have 88 percent of my hit points left". I'd love to be able to set off a trigger if this drops below a certain amount (say 20%) so I could then hit my pet Mend button.

Fantastic program anyway!!

Ah - with more thought I've kind of kludged my own solution.

I basically added 10 triggers looking for:

I have 30 percent of my hit points left
I have 29 percent of my hit points left
.
down to
.
I have 20 percent of my hit points left

So I should get a trigger on one of those before pet snuffs it!!

It is a little more complicated than what I wanted to include in GTT, allowing numbers to be read and compared. You are actually able to enter a RegEx into the search, so you could do it all in a single command.

Set your trigger to:
I have [1-2]?[0-9] percent of my hit points left.

This will look for a number starting with 1 or 2 from the piece [1-2], and ends with a 0 to 9 from the piece [0-9]. To allow for single digit numbers, the [1-2] is optional because it ends with a question mark, [1-2]? so this will now match any number from 0 to 29.
